Python + Event Streaming Engineer

ABN AMRO Clearing, a subsidiary of ABN AMRO, is a global leader in the domain of clearing. We are experts on the financial “plumbing” that allow financial institutions to trade safely and quickly. We have offices around the globe.

Your job

We are looking to strengthen our Python team. We develop backends that support our business in real-time. The transaction volumes of our clients are ever-increasing, and it is our job to stay ahead of the curve. We look for significant experience in:

• Python (for example Pandas, NumPy),
• Event streaming (Kafka or experience with a similar technology),
• Secure coding (OWASP Top 10 awareness, authorization flows etc.),
• Fluency in English (Dutch is not a requirement).

Your profile

We are looking for an engineer that has the following profile:

• Python experience (for example Pandas, NumPy);
• Event streaming experience (Kafka or experience with a similar technology);
• Secure coding experience (OWASP Top 10 awareness, authorization flows etc.);
• Fluency in English (Dutch is not a requirement).

Nice to have experience in:

• REST API design (Flask or experience with a similar technology),
• Containerization (Kubernetes or experience with a similar technology),
• CICD (git, automated pipelines),

And interest in:

• Working in an international team,
• Learning about financial markets and derivatives.

We are offering

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
• Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
• Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
• An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
• An excellent pension scheme.
