Our Technology Transformation team is fast growing and is part of the larger Technology Consulting FSO group of EY Netherlands. We typically advise clients on and help with the implementation of their IT strategies, IT operating model, IT architecture, and the adoption of new technologies (e.g. cloud, AI, and lowcode).

Responsibilities – How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

You will work for organizations such as banks, investment companies, insurance companies and government programs to improve their customer journey, business processes, the way they store and use data, and how they work to drive innovation. Furthermore, your responsibilities can entail the following:

  • Assisting in the project management of client engagements
  • Working closely with Consulting colleagues to identify and communicate client opportunities
  • Getting involved with industry research, client thought leadership, RFPs and/or client roundtables
  • Manage your time between working on client site, in our offices and from home, as a member of our highly skilled engagement teams
  • Support and coach junior colleagues

Our team has worked on many different projects to which you will contribute as well, for example:

  • Support in building an innovation department for a large bank to realize the acceleration of new (digital) product development for their customers
  • Design the IT strategy and implementation roadmap for a global pension administrator and implement Agile Portfolio Management for their Scaled Agile organization
  • Facilitate workshops and training with our EY Agile Center of Excellence on topics such as SAFe, Kanban, Scaled Agile and Scrum
  • Performed a MiFID II and Dodd-Frank (DFA) transaction reporting review for a global bank

Job requirements – Where do you start if you want to change the world?

  • At least 2 years of working experience in the field of IT, either from an IT consulting organization, or other relevant corporate role, preferably you have experience in managing junior colleagues
  • Master's degree with a strong affinity for IT & Business such as Business Information Management, Business and Innovation, Analytics or another study related to these domains
  • Design Thinking, Story Telling and/or Agile way of working experience
  • Knowledge of the Banking-, Insurance- and/or Wealth & Asset Management industry
  • Preferably some form of certification on one of the following topics: PRINCE2/PMP/MSP, PSM/CSM/SAFe, TOGAF, ITIL en COBIT
  • Fluency in the Dutch and English language
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in one or more of the following: analyzing systems and procedures, stakeholder management, cloud technologies, ERP/CRM implementation, software testing, and project management

Recruitment Procedure – How can you prepare for a long life together?

The selection procedure exists out of 2 interview rounds and an assessment

After we have received and selected your CV, a short telephone introduction will follow. Then you make an online assessment in your own time. After completing the assessment, we will schedule your first interview, which will take place with the Recruiter and someone from the team. In case of a positive outcome of the first interview, a second (and also last) interview will be scheduled with other members of the team.

Due to laws and regulations, and because EY (and in some cases its clients) has high demands on the reliability and integrity of its employees, every new employee will be screened. Depending on your rank the pre-employment screening could contain the following: Certificate of Conduct (in Dutch: VOG) or - if requesting a Dutch VOG is not possible - Criminal Background Check of the country you are currently living or have lived during the last five years, integrity questionnaire, verification of ID, diploma’s and/or work experience and consultation of the Dutch insolvency registry.
